I was feeling a bit down-in-the-dumps today. There's no reason. Everything is fine. It was just a mood. But it was really bringing me down. And then my mother called me for no real reason except to check in. And that made me feel so much happier.
You know, our phone might ring once every few days. And when it does ring, it's usually a doctor's office or a courtesy call. It's not usually a person we know calling just to chat. Unless it's Lillian. But today it was my mother. And she made me happy.
