What We Did Yesterday

The seeing Santa part was painless. But no matter how organized I try to be, no matter how early in the year I begin my shopping and planning, I always end up at the mall in December trying to find a last minute gift for those one or two people. Or Four people. Shoot. I'm going to have to go do some online shopping and pay for the expedited shipping.

Kathleen,

You are one of the most organized people I know (even though I never met you). I haven't even started my Christmas shopping!!! This is the most beautiful picture. The boys look great -- and so happy. Regarding Santa -- When did he go blond???

Perhaps global warming has left the North Pole with more sunny days for Santa to lay out on the Santa lounge.

Have a WONDERFUL Christmas. Hope new beautiful baby shows up soon.

What? Santa doesn't do the whole "sit on my lap" thing anymore? Everyone knows it's not Christmas unless you get manhandled by Santa. At least that's what Steven keeps telling me.

Nick refused to actually SIT on Santa's lap. Nathan might have, but the little girl before us refused also, and ended up on the chair, and Nathan just wanted to sit on the chair... so there we go.

Christmas shopping? You mean I ought to have started by now?

I find your definition of "last minute shopping" quite amusing. To me, last minute shopping is storming thru the malls on Christmas eve in a crazed stupor justifying to yourself that your loved one really WANTS an electric nose warmer even though they never mentioned anything of the sort ever in their entire life.

Needless to say, I haven't started my shopping yet. But I also understand your point of view. I don't have three little ones to care for, hide presents from etc. And I am not nine months pregnant. So, I just think you rock:)
